Chevia application started with an idea that one should able get information about the local cuisine near by, on his/her iphone. This idea became an application in Sourcebits. By using a powerful PHP framework, Sourcebits developers did the back-end for Chevia. Using database as MySQL on the back-end , Sourcebits engineers made sure to scale this application for supporting more than millions places/food items/users. On the front end - Sourcebits designers did a wonderful job of creating a very user friendly navigation, And Iphone engineers equally contributed by providing a really smooth functionality. The communication between back-end from Iphone is handled smoothly using XML based calls. Chevia uses UIKit Features and CoreGraphics for rendering UI elements. It also uses TinyXML and LibXML libraries for XML Parsing and Writing. It seamlessly communicates with the Chevia Web server with the help of CFNetwork framework available in iPhone.

Using Chevia we can post a food item,write review about the place and food items,upload photos and invite your friends to join. Chevia application has some unique features like Photo Grid and Slideshow of delicious items, which gives it an edge above rest of the similar applications.
