With obvious inspiration from Leonardo Da Vinci's sketchbooks, the path from assignment to design idea was very straightforward: iPhone development, coding, craftsmanship, renaissance motif. We studied Leonardo's technical drawings very carefully and tried to replicate the unique paper texture, the way the ink sunk into the paper and blurred the drawings’ lines and Da Vinci’s tidbits of text scattered around.

There's also an old-style bookmark, which contributes to the impression that you're looking at a page of a very old book. And don't forget that strange hole in the paper, which shows what's underneath!
