Making a game is not just about slinging code and making beautiful renders. It’s not just about having an interesting story, beautiful cut scenes, or the right particle effects when you ﬁre a missile. It’s all of these things combined…and much more.
Sourcebits understands that making the best games goes beyond just technical skill or graphics, and includes expertise at everything: from audio to video production, web-based framework development for social and online games, QA, marketing and promotions, all the way to post-release support. No matter how deep the story is, how shiny the graphics are, or how many whizbang technical tricks are in a game, it won’t be much fun without terriﬁc gameplay. None of these great plans of epic story lines, breathtaking levels, and intuitive controls will mean anything unless they’re backed up with solid execution. Sourcebits meets this challenge with some of the best gaming-speciﬁc talent in the business.
Our gaming teams have deep experience in everything from off-the-shelf 2D and 3D game engines like Cocos2D, Box2D, Unity and Unreal, to developing our own in-house 2D and 3D game engines directly. Our team members are the type who make 3D game engines and develop realistic and optimized methods for refracting light in a 2D game engine in their spare time. (Really. We do.) Need a 3D game that looks amazing and pushes more vertices than Unity or Unreal can handle on a mobile device? We can get right down to the OpenGL layer and code up a custom game engine that can do it speciﬁcally for your project.
Sourcebits has extensive experience developing mobile games on iOS and Android. We develop with a focus on performance while keeping our code maintainable and working to the strengths of whatever platforms you wish to target. Cross-platform compatibility is something we’re extremely comfortable with, having created numerous games with both portable and platform-speciﬁc code that leverages the strengths of each platform the game is published on.

We’re as well-versed in professional 3D modeling and animation tools like Maya and 3D Studio Max as we are with pencil and paper, so we can execute whatever style your game needs with awesome results.

Each game is developed and produced by a multidisciplinary team that includes a producer who is responsible to you to make sure the game’s vision is executed ﬂawlessly and professionally.
